So as those close to me know, I have being trying out healthier options for food lately. Although I still cook meat, I have cut down on red to once a week, sometimes once every two weeks, and am trying to incorporate more vegetarian. So I’ll share some of the recipes I’ve tried so far, much to my delight and those around me. I will confess, I might not go all-vegan just yet, but for now it has been fun trying out recipes, especially these baked goods, which everyone who tasted it, loved.

Can you believe that this is a MALM dresser from IKEA?! Amanda Carol transformed her dresser with the help of O’verlays, a company that makes light-weight fretwork that is compatible with many different IKEA pieces (and of course you could use it with your other furniture too!). The pieces are relatively cheap and each piece will tell you what IKEA furniture it will coordinate with. I’d love some of these to decorate my  doors with.

Chicken, Mushroom and Asparagus PastaI expanded my diet recently to include a not so new ingredient- just one not recently seen: Asparagus. I grew up eating a version of this vegetable, the white one, mostly in pies and never took a liking to it. I branded all the versions the same; tasteless and weird. Then we went for supper and I ordered a pasta with asparagus, and it wasn’t half bad.
